What is New Mexico's most searched Christmas song? Hint, it's not by Mariah Carey

Dec. 19—As far as Christmas songs go, there are many that can get stuck in your head, sometimes it's just a few bars from the chorus you find yourself humming.

When you can't remember the whole song, or want to listen to the original, naturally you turn to Google to pull it up.

And that's what New Mexicans did, according to a study conducted by crosswordhelper.com, with Josh Groban's rendition of "Angels We Have Heard on High," making it the most searched holiday song in the state.

The study found "Jingle Bell Rock" by Blake Shelton to be the most searched Christmas song across the U.S.

To conduct the study, crosswordhelper.com collected Google search volume data from January through December 2023 for holiday songs.

According to the study, Mariah Carey's "O Holy Night" was the most searched holiday song in Louisiana.

Michigan also had a Josh Groban song top its most searched list, with his rendition of "O Holy Night."
