Thursday's game: Storm Chasers 5, Clippers 3

Recap: Tobias Meyers (1-8) has allowed two earned runs or less seven times this season but has just one win to show for it. Last night was another setback as Meyers allowed one earned run but took the loss at Omaha. He gave up two hits and three walks with six strikeouts through 4 2/3 innings. Omaha's Michael Massey and Vinnie Pasquantino hit a pair of two-run homers in the sixth and seventh innings to put the game out of reach. Will Benson hit a two-run triple and scored on a Tyler Freeman single in the eighth before Brad Peacock closed out the ninth for Omaha.

Attendance: 4,723

Of Note: Meyers is 0-6 when he allows three or more earned runs.... Nearly half of Benson's hits this season (24 of 50) have gone for extra bases - 12 HR, 11 2B, 1 3B.... The Clippers swapped right-handed pitchers with the Guardians, receiving Anthony Castro and sending Yohan Ramirez up north.
