MIAA high school baseball state championships to be held at Polar Park

WORCESTER — The MIAA high school baseball state championships for Divisions 1 through 5 will be held June 16-17 at Polar Park.

There will be two games at 4 and 7 p.m. Friday, while games on Saturday will be held at noon, 3 and 6 p.m.

Championship games last season were held at two sites — Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field, and LeLacheur Park in Lowell.

The Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox hosted the Rhode Island High School Baseball Championship for several years at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

The MIAA currently holds all high school football state championships at Gillette Stadium, while last year's state hockey championships were held at TD Garden, basketball state championships were hosted by the Tsongas Center and softball state championships were played at UMass Amherst.
