As they began wheeling Tagovailoa off, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel went over and patted him and Bengals fans chanted "Tua! Tua!"
Tagovailoa was taken by ambulance to a Cincinnati hospital, the team announced. He was conscious with feeling in his extremities, the team said.

The hit resembled a play from last week's win over Buffalo which saw Tagovailoa exit the field with fears of a potential concussion injury. The NFL is investigating whether concussion protocol was properly followed, though Tagovailoa insists he did not have a concussion.
