At long last, Miami diners can live out their “Golden Girls” dreams at a new pop-up in Wynwood.

Inspired by the hit TV sitcom starring Bea Arthur, Estelle Getty, Rue McClanahan and Betty White that ran from 1985 to 1992, The Golden Girls Kitchen is a themed dining experience for fans of the show (and of cheesecake).

The concept was created by Bucket Listers, a digital media brand that curates pop-culture experiences such as The Family Guy Experience and The Malibu Barbie Cafe. Despite the fact that the show was set in Miami and followed the lives of four women living together, four other decidedly non-Miami cities got The Golden Girls Kitchen first (Beverly Hills, New York City, San Francisco and Chicago).

Derek Berry, president of experiences for the group, said the brand is happy to finally be heading south.

“There was no choice better suited for our next destination,” said Berry, who grew up in Miami.

Diners can also eat in the Lanai, part of The Golden Girls Kitchen pop-up.

Each ticket will include a reserved seat and a window of time in which to eat, plus an entree and cheesecake. Entrees include Sophia’s Lasagna Al Forno (meat or vegan); The Lanai: A Miami-style Cuban Sandwich; the Bacon Lettuce Potato sandwich (if you know, you know). Cheesecake is available in several flavors.

There are also plenty of photo opps: at the kitchen table, on the Lanai or in front of a banana leaf print. During the pop-up’s run, which lasts through Dec. 31, there will also be drag brunches with local performers.
