Miami Hurricanes' NCAA baseball regional opener vs. Canisius postponed until Saturday

The Coral Gables NCAA baseball regional, which was scheduled to begin today at 10 a.m. with the host Miami Hurricanes playing Canisius, has been postponed due to bad weather.

Currently, the regional is slated to begin Saturday at noon, with Miami and Canisius playing, followed by Arizona vs. Mississippi 55 minutes after that game.

That said, Potential Tropical Cyclone One, which is forecast to become Tropical Storm Alex today, could play havoc with Saturday's schedule as well. Thunderstorms and high winds are predicted all day for Miami-Dade County.
