Miami man convicted of attempted manslaughter in shooting up Palm Coast house
A Miami man was convicted Friday of attempted manslaughter for shooting at a house in Palm Coast, according to the State Attorney’s Office. He was one of three co-defendants, including one who was later shot to death in a separate case.
Additionally, Randy Alexandre, 23, was found guilty of shooting into a building during the four-day trial at the Kim C. Hammond Justice Center in Bunnell.
Circuit Judge Terence Perkins set a sentencing hearing for 9 a.m. on Feb. 8.
Alexandre was one of three men charged in the case. Another, Paul Philippe Pajotte, 26, of Apopka, reached a plea deal and was sentenced in July to five years in state prison.
Pajote is currently at the Marion Work Camp with an expected release date of June 12, 2027, according to the Florida Department of Corrections website.
Jamey Jahiem Bennett, 19, of Palm Coast, was also charged in the case. However, Bennett was fatally shot during an altercation at an early-morning party on Feb. 5 in some woods off Old Kings Road, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
Da’Mari Barnes, who was 15 at the time but has since turned 16, has been charged in adult court with manslaughter with a firearm in Bennett’s slaying.

The night of the shooting
Alexandre, Pajote and Bennett were among five men in a car, who on Jan. 28, 2021, drove to a house on Kalamazoo Trail in Palm Coast, a release stated. One of the men planned to fight someone in the house.
But when they did not find him there, Alexandre, Pajote and Bennett opened fire at the house, the release stated. A total of 34 rounds were shot, according to authorities.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office found three firearms in the car.
Several bullets penetrated the house, but no one inside was hit.
“There were three defendants in this case,” State Attorney R.J. Larizza stated in a press release. “One pled to the charges and is in prison, one was just convicted and faces imminent prison time and the third was killed after the shooting in another round of gun violence. It is clear that young gun violence is a pathway to heartache and death.”
