Miami Officers Rescue Mother and Young Son From Canal

Police in Miami, Florida, have released bodycam footage showing officers rescue a woman and her four-year-old son from a canal on Friday, July 10.

According to reports, officers were called to 2360 Northeast 192nd Street, where there were people in the canal.

When officers arrived, they discovered that the boy had jumped into the water in an attempt to save his mother, who police said “appeared to be intoxicated and refused to comply with rescue attempts.”

Footage shows officers grab hold of the child’s arm after numerous attempts and pull him to safety.
