People in Miami Valley ready for rain to end with threat of flooding Saturday
It has been a wet Friday night across the Miami Valley as a Flood Watch remains in effect through Saturday afternoon.

News Center 7′s Brandon Lewis spoke with people out in the rain Friday night.
One of the places that gets high water from a lot of rain is near Interstate 75 and Carillon Park. That may be the case overnight.
Cheryl Scroggins and Walter Lynch had to walk in the rain to catch their bus Friday night.
“I love the rain, as long as it doesn’t get too cold,” she said. “I can deal with it. Right now, it looks like it’s going to get a little chilly, I’m ready to get out of it.”
Lewis says University of Dayton college students had to dodge rain drops while heading back to campus Friday night.
“I’m not a huge fan, I’m not going to lie,” said Abby Prout. “My basement did flood last night, so, that was really fun to deal with.”
In the last two days, the Miami Valley has seen between one and three inches of rain.

The Great Miami River is expected to rise until Saturday night.
“It has been raining a lot,” Scroggins told Lewis. “I’ve been out in it.”

This will be the first spring weekend of 2023.
Most people Lewis spoke with Friday night want the weather to dry up and warm up.
“I’ll be glad when it warms up,” said Walter Lynch of Dayton. “Put my shorts on.”

A Flood Watch has been issued for most of the region until Saturday.
A Wind Advisory is in effect starting Saturday morning.
