This weekend, fashion designer Misha Nonoo and her fiancé Michael Hess are expected to marry in Rome, surrounded by family, friends, and more than one famous face.
The couple reportedly got engaged to her boyfriend Michael "Mikey" Hess back in February, just days before Nonoo was spotted in New York City celebrating her Meghan Markle's baby shower.
"Thank you for making all my dreams come true, Misha Nonoo," reads the caption. "I am so in love with you, and I feel so lucky I get to spend the rest of my life with you right beside me."
Ahead of their wedding, here are a few things you should know about Nonoo's husband-to-be.
He has a lot of high-profile friends.
Hess and Josh Kushner both went to Harvard for college and business school, and the two have been very good friends for some time, a source said. He's also been friends with model Heidi Klum for several years.
He has a knack for being in the right place at the right time.
In 2016, he sat in what Town & Country dubbed "the most interesting box at the US Open" along with Princess Beatrice of York, Karlie Kloss, Dasha Zhukova, Geffen, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Hollywood agent Michael Kives, Wendi Deng, billionaire Leon Black, and his father, John Hess.
His grandfather started the Hess Corporation.
Leon Hess, who died in 1999, founded the Hess Oil and Chemical Corporation in the 1930s and later purchased the New York Jets and owned the team for more than 15 years. His son, Michael's father John B. Hess, is now the Hess Corporation CEO. Michael followed in his father's footsteps by attending Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
He has all the private-school bonafides.
Hess, 31, grew up in New York City and went to Buckley, Deerfield, Harvard College, and Harvard Business School.
He and Nonoo have reportedly been dating since 2018.
Hess shared images of himself and Nonoo on Instagram Stories when the two attended the royal wedding at Windsor Castle in May. "Getting morning suit ready," he captioned one shot that showed Nonoo adjusting his collar, according to the Daily Mail. More recently, Nonoo shared photos of the pair in Italy on her own Instagram Stories.
He knows how to throw a party.
His 30th birthday party in the Hamptons in 2016 featured performances by Nelly, Taylor Swift, and Leslie Odom, Jr. Heidi Klum posted a video of Hess joining Nelly onstage.
He also goes by Mikey.
At least on his Instagram account, which is private but was cited in a 2007 New York Times story for its "photographs of Mick Jagger close-up in concert, courtside seats at a Knicks game and stops on his trips around the world."
He has worked in finance.
According to his biography on the website of King's Academy, whose board he joined in 2014, Hess "has worked at KKR & Co. and has also held positions at Goldman Sachs and the Royal Hashemite Court." Now, according to a source, he's an entrepreneur who helps start businesses focused on logistics and construction.
He has a philanthropic side, too.
Hess has supported the Pediatric Heart Center at Boston's Children's Hospital and the Make-a-Wish Foundation in addition to serving as a trustee of King's Academy.
