Michael Phelps and his wife have news worthy of a gold medal.

The Olympic swimmer, 38, and Nicole Johnson announced via Instagram on Monday that they welcomed their fourth baby — and fourth son — earlier this month, shortly after revealing their family was expanding.

“@mrs.nicolephelps and I wanna welcome Nico Michael Phelps to the world,” the proud parents captioned a portrait of themselves looking down lovingly at their newest bundle of joy. “Born on 1/16. We’re so blessed to be given a 4th child. We’re now a family of 6!”

While celebrating their wedding anniversary in late October, the former Miss California announced that she and the 23-time gold medal winner were “expecting our 4th Phelps in 2024.”

Phelps and Johnson tied the knot in 2016 over a trio of ceremonies. They’re also parents to Boomer, 7, Beckett, 5, and Maverick, 4.

Phelps, who has been outspoken about battling depression and anxiety, previously told People that he and Johnson have made a point of encouraging their sons to get in touch with how they’re feeling.

“They talk about their emotions,” he previously told the magazine. “It gives me a lot of hope. I just want them to be as prepared as they can be.”

“We don’t hide from emotions. We teach them that daddy or mommy is having a moment and we need to either give them space or ask if they want a hug,” said Johnson. “And that’s taught them they have permission for their feelings to be heard, too.”
