Apr. 6—Michelle Thomas had herself a game Monday in leading Preston High past Trinity, 84-60.

The Knights' senior forward scored 26 points and added 15 rebounds to lead the Knights, who took an early 24-11 lead and never looked back.

Thomas had plenty of help. Carsynn Sines added 24 points and Breanna Sphar connected on four 3-pointers and added 19.

Paige Smith scored 13 points and Ruby Smith-McCrobbie, Jaclyn Smith and Jenna Barnett all added 12 for Trinity.

The Knights were also 25 of 29 from the foul line.

Boys' basketball Trinity 69, Oak Glen 47 Jaylon Hill scored 15 points and teammates James Garbart and Gavin Jackson combined for 27 to lead the Warriors.

Trinity led, 40-27, at the half.

"Tonight we came out looking to set the tempo of the game on both ends of the court, something we didn't do when we played them earlier in the season, " Trinity coach Rick Hill said. "Since our last loss, we have talked about playing patient on the offensive end and getting better in our shot selection. The kids have bought in and its lead to balanced scoring for us and our shooting percentage is a lot higher."

Jared Hissam led Oak Glen with 15 points.

Trinity (6-3) will travel to Hampshire at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
