Game notes: Michigan fans might remember the last time these two programs played − an Ohio 65-60 victory in 2012 NCAA tournament first round as a 13-seed vs. 4-seed Michigan.

A decade later, all the key players from that game in Nashville are long gone. The Wolverines enter off their worst loss in the Juwan Howard era, 87-62, to Arizona State in the Legends Classic in New York. Junior center Hunter Dickinson leads Michigan by averaging 19.5 points on 62.3% shooting with 7.8 rebounds.

Ohio is 60-34 under coach Jeff Boals, now in his fourth season, and has a revamped roster − nine new players, six freshmen − after going 25-10 last season and losing leading scorers Mark Sears (Alabama), Ben Vander Plas (Virginia) and Jason Carter. The Bobcats are coming off a disappointing 88-74 loss at Detroit Mercy on Wednesday. Fifth-year senior big man Dwight Wilson III (6-8, 250), who missed last season with a torn ACL, averages 10.7 points and 11.7 rebounds, and will have his hands full with Dickinson (7-1, 250).
