Michigan Cares for Tourism coming to Cambridge Junction Historic State Park in September

Join Michigan Cares for Tourism for a volunteer experience learning about and giving to Michigan’s historic, natural and cultural attractions. We are honored that this year’s event is taking place in the Irish Hills at Cambridge Junction Historic State Park on Sept. 11 and 12. Our new member, Phoenix Rising Wellness Centers, is having a free acupuncture event for first responders and veterans from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the third Saturday of every month at Station 3 Firehouse, 4111 Round Lake Highway in Manitou Beach. The Walker Wheels Invitational is taking place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Walker Tavern Historical Site. Bring a friend, bring a picnic and bring a lawn chair for a great day of baseball the way it was played in 1860. There is no admission, but a recreation passport is required for park entry.

Join MST Dance Center for “Mommy and Me” classes with your little one and engage in helping them learn to dance. Classes are from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturdays with two sessions to choose from: Sept. 10 to Oct. 15 or Oct. 22 to Dec. 10. Cost is $60 per session or $110 for both sessions.
