Michigan City Chamber Music Festival holds three concerts in October

MICHIGAN CITY — The Michigan City Chamber Music Festival (MCCMF) announces the three-concert “Mini-Fest, 2022!” for October.

MCCMF and Paladin Inc. present the interactive children’s concert “Wooden Boxes and Pipes!” at 3 p.m. CDT Oct. 15 at Paladin, 4315 E. Michigan Blvd.

“Americana” takes place at 7 p.m. CDT Oct. 22 at First Presbyterian Church, 121 W. 9th St., and features pianist Robert Auler and violinist Nic Orbovich performing a music by Antonin Dvorak, John Williams, George Gershwin and others.

“The Romantic Violin” takes place at 3 p.m. CDT Oct. 30 at First Presbyterian and features Rudolf Haken and Kunito Nishitani performing French, German and Gypsy violin stylings.

Admission is free for all three concerts, although a free-will offering will be taken. Receptions follow the Oct. 22 and 30 concerts.
