Michigan High School Football: Week 6 AP and Coaches' Polls

HILLSDALE COUNTY — After winning in week five, the Reading Rangers bounced back from their tough loss to the Union City Chargers. The Rangers found themselves dropping out of the recent AP rankings, but they remained in the top 10 of the coaches' rankings heading into week six. The Rangers have a tough matchup ahead against the Jonesville Comets. A win on the road could go a long way for the Rangers to rise back into the rankings in the latest prep football AP poll.

In other related news, the Terriers' loss to Tekonsha and their close win over Waldron has dropped them out of the teams in consideration for the recent 8-player rankings. If the Terriers finish their season with a 7-1 record, they could find themselves in the state rankings.

Adrian Lenawee Christian stayed at number one overall in the AP 8-player D1 rankings despite their loss to Colon, and Colon has not moved up any further than number two in the D2 poll.

Union City fails to make an appearance on the lists for D7, despite looking like the eventual Big 8 champions after beating Reading and Homer. Another win in week six could push them into consideration for week seven rankings.
