Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced the further loosening of Michigan’s coronavirus restrictions Tuesday, which included the easing of capacity limits in restaurants and a host of other businesses. (March 2)
GRETCHEN WHITMER: Today, we are announcing that restaurants and bars can operate at 50% capacity. That's up from 25%. I'm also pleased that we can now allow visitations at nursing homes too. Additionally, today's public health order increases capacity limits in retail, casinos, gyms, stadiums, and other entertainment and recreational facilities. The increased capacity limits outlined in this order will still give us the ability to protect public health, as we carefully track variants, and continue leading with science and data.
