Michigan reports 13,102 COVID-19 cases, 64 deaths over the past week

Over the last week, Michigan reported 13,102 new COVID-19 cases, an average of 1871.7 cases per day, and 64 new deaths, according to data released Tuesday by the state health department.

New cases decreased by 8.7% compared to last week, and new deaths represent a 63.2% decrease from the previous report.

Over the last week, the positivity rate for diagnostic tests is 15.5%, with 12,456 of 80,220 tests positive.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the state has had 2,619,533 cases and 36,982 deaths.
