Michigan reports 39,372 new COVID-19 cases, 36 deaths over 3 days

The Michigan health department reported 39,372 new COVID-19 cases over a three-day period Monday, an average of 13,124 per day, bringing Michigan to 1,905,639 confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

Another 36 coronavirus-related deaths were also reported Monday,. This increases the state's COVID-19 death toll to 29,226.

Of 46,340 confirmatory tests reported by the health department Sunday, 12,860 yielded positive results for a positivity rate of 27.75%.

Data from the health department include 262,728 probable cases and 2,313 probable deaths, for a total of 2,168,367 cases and 31,539 deaths.
