Michigan Reports Over 10,000 New Coronavirus Cases Monday

MICHIGAN — More than 360,000 cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Michigan as of Monday morning, state health officials said in their most recent update of COVID-19 data.

The state reported more than 10,000 new coronavirus cases Monday, adding 10,428 new cases since Saturday. The increase brings Michigan's total number of confirmed cases to 360,449.

Meanwhile, Michigan also has added 98 COVID-19 deaths since Saturday, bringing the coronavirus death toll in the state to 9,134.

Michigan eclipsed the 350,000 case mark on Saturday, when it reported more than 8,000 new cases. The state also reported over 100 new COVID-19 deaths. More than 165,000 people in Michigan have recovered from the coronavirus, state health officials said on Saturday.

According to the World Health Organization, Michigan is ninth in the U.S. in reported coronavirus cases. The state is ranked in the nation's Top 10 in COVID-19 deaths.

More than 13.7 million COVID-19 cases have been reported in the U.S., according to the World Health Organization. Over 273,000 COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the U.S. while more than 8.1 million COVID-19 recoveries have been reported.

Over 63.3 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. More than 1.4 million of those cases have reportedly resulted in death. Over 43.8 million coronavirus recoveries have been reported worldwide.
