Michigan snowfall predictions: See how much your area could get during winter storm
Snow is definitely on the way to Michigan.
A winter storm is rolling into the Great Lakes State on Friday, and the National Weather Service is predicting anywhere from less than 1 inch to 8 inches of snow depending on where you live in the southeast Michigan region. But if you live anywhere in the west or upper areas of Michigan, you're looking at nearly a foot of snow, if not more.
Detroit is expected to see about 2 inches of snow, but accumulation amounts increase further out from the city, with Midland predicted to get up to 8 inches, Grand Rapids about 10-14 and Marquette 16-23 (!), according to the National Weather Service.
