Michigan State football recruit: ‘…Half the team might be Georgia boys by 2023’

With the recent commitment of 3-star safety Quavian Carter, half of Michigan State’s 2022 recruiting class is now made up of Georgia high school football players. According to another MSU football recruit, 2023 4-star recruit Kayden McDonald, this could be part of a bigger trend as Mel Tucker continues to emphasize recruiting in Georgia:
“With everything Coach Tucker and his staff are doing, half the team might be Georgia boys by 2023,” McDonald told 247Sports during his visit with MSU last weekend.
With Detroit becoming a super-competitive region for recruiting, it will continue to be important for Tucker and his staff to be able to go into different parts of the country to find high-level talent, and the early reports for those efforts are looking good.
