Michigan State women's basketball's Big Ten matchup scheduled for Wednesday at Indiana is postponed due to COVID-19.
The decision was made Monday due to COVID-19 issues within the Indiana program.
No. 6-ranked and Big Ten-leading Indiana (14-2, 6-0) was shorthanded Sunday when it rallied to a road win in overtime over Purdue. The Hoosiers were down two starters in the win.
MSU, which is coming off a home win over Northwestern on Sunday, was slated to play Wednesday's game without coach Suzy Merchant, who has been unavailable since Saturday due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
Wednesday's scheduled game at Indiana is the second the Spartans (9-8, 3-3) have had postponed by COVID-19 this season. MSU also had a scheduled road game at Northwestern on Jan. 3 postponed.
Both programs will work with the Big Ten to find a date to reschedule the contest.
MSU is next scheduled to play 2 p.m. Sunday at home against Minnesota.
