The 2023 Mid-American Conference women’s basketball tournament tips off Wednesday at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.

Akron and Kent State both are in the eight-team field. The three-day tournament is Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The winner claims the MAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

All six games Wednesday and Friday will air on ESPN+. The championship game will air on CBS Sports Network.

Who is the top seed in the 2023 Mid-American Conference women's basketball tournament?

Toledo enters the MAC women's tournament as the No. 1 seed after rolling through league play with a 16-2 record. The Rockets enter the postseason on a 13-game winning streak. They are 25-4 overall this season. They last lost Jan. 18, at Bowling Green. Their other league loss came at Northern Illinois 11 days earlier. Toledo's two nonleague losses were to Duke and Penn State. Toledo's biggest nonleague win is at Michigan on Dec. 8.
