Mid-East CTC inducts four into Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame

ZANESVILLE —  Four former students have been inducted into the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame at Mid-East Career and Technology Centers for 2023.

The hall of fame is 20 years old and has 82 members. The new members are Darby Taylor, Cole Tomplait, Grant Warren and Sabrina Waxler.

Darby Taylor
Darby Taylor

Taylor graduated from the cosmetology program and Caldwell High School in 2009. She started her career at Lenny's Hair Design and has worked in the salon and beauty industry for 14 years. She has volunteered for three years for the Look Good Feel Better organization, a program for people going through cancer treatments.

Cole Tomplait
Cole Tomplait

Tomplait graduated from the carpentry program and John Glenn High School in 2001. He served as an apprentice in Columbus and worked his way into owning his own business, leading to a 16-year career in architectural millwork. He has worked on the Ohio State University Stadium renovation, Cameron Mitchell Del Mar Restaurants, OSU Department of Music and CoverMyMeds building. He's a carpentry instructor at the Zanesville Campus of Mid-East.

Grant Warren
Grant Warren

Warren graduated from the power line technician program and Cambridge High School in 2012. He's been an active member of the Ohio Air National Guard, serving as a cable and antenna systems specialist. He's also employed by American Electric Power as a cyber security specialist.

Sabrina Waxler
Sabrina Waxler

Waxler graduated from the banking and finance/cooperative business education program and Maysville High School in 2001. She started her banking career as a customer service representative for The Community Bank and is now the commercial portfolio manager and office manager for the Downtown Zanesville branch of North Valley Bank. She also volunteered for a variety of events in the community.
