Middlesex County COVID-19 vax tracker: 73% of residents are fully vaccinated

Seventy-three of people living in Middlesex County are fully vaccinated as of Tuesday, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they've either been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or the second of a two-dose shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).

Massachusetts reported 919,097 total cases of the coronavirus this week, up 2% from last week.

Middlesex County has the highest percentage of its population fully vaccinated in Massachusetts, as of Tuesday. Others in the top five include Norfolk (72%), Suffolk (67%), Essex (67%) and Plymouth (64%).
