Who should be the Midlands girls high school volleyball Player of the Year? Vote now

It’s time to vote for The State’s volleyball Player of the Year from Midlands-area high schools. Voting ends Monday, Dec. 5 at noon. The winner will be announced along with the all-area volleyball team next week.

Congrats to all the nominees. The voting takes place below the bios. Please note: This poll is not scientific and is meant to be just for fun.

Za’Niya Boyles, Gray Collegiate: Senior was all-state, Class 2A Player of Year. Had 178 kills, 46 aces and 74 digs.

Avery Irick, Camden: Senior was region player of year, all-state and North-South game selection. Had 29 aces, 121 digs and 307 assists this season.

Camryn Jeffrey, Westwood: Sophomore was region player of year and all-state selection. Finished the season with 252 kills, 203 digs, 116 blocks and 42 aces.

Ashley Kelley, Lexington: All-state and North-South selection had 76 aces, 140 kills, 31 blocks, 723 assists and 254 digs.

Anna Logan Gillens, Cardinal Newman: Senior and Delaware signee led area with 577 kills, was region player of year and helped Cardinals to SCISA 3A championship.

Meredith McEnulty, Gilbert: Junior was region player of year and all-state selection. Had 127 kills, 51 aces, 40 blocks and 306 assists.

Charlotte Morris, Lugoff-Elgin: Senior was all-state, North-South All-Star selection. Had 220 assists, 196 kills, 196 digs and 50 aces. Committed to play at Liberty.

Ava Reeves, River Bluff: Senior was region player of year, all-state, North-South All-Star selection. Had 369 kills, 60 aces, 38 blocks, 242 digs. Signed with Anderson.
