The Mighty Boosh's Julian Barratt has opened up about the possibility of a reunion, admitting that they hope to do something in the future.

The comedy troupe, comprised of Barratt, Noel Fielding and others, were a huge hit in the 2000s, most famous for their BBC TV show as well as numerous live appearances.

And it seems if they do get back together, it will be more of the latter – pandemic permitting – Barratt telling press (via RadioTimes.com): "We think we might do something live at some point for people who grew up on us who want to see us.

"We'll see where we go from there. That'll be in a bit. I don't know when."

Pressed on whether we could see a Boosh return on screen too, the star added: "I don't know, we'd have to get back on the Boosh-mobile first.

"It was so all-consuming when we were doing and we both do different things at the moment. We'd need to get back on that horse, if you know what I mean."

Fielding himself teased a possible Boosh reunion earlier this year, writing on Instagram: "There really wasn't enough Boosh this decade ! Let's try and rectify that in the next one ;)"

During the interview, Barratt also spoke about his friendship with now-Great British Bake Off co-host Fielding, explaining: "Noel and I are still friends. He's had a daughter and I've got boys and we're doing that for a bit. He lives very close to me, so I do actually see him most days.

"He never sees me, but I see him," he joked.
