Mike Gillespie Launches Brave Artists Talent Management Company

Talent manager Mike Gillespie, most recently at Primary Wave Entertainment, has launched his own talent management company, Brave Artists Management.

“After 12 years in Los Angeles, I’m very proud to start my own company,” said Gillespie. “I’m very fortunate to have amazing clients that understand my passion for this industry and with hard work and determination we will find success in this next chapter. I’m also very grateful for all the mentors I’ve had, what I’ve learned and how they continue to encourage me.”

Gillespie began his career in publicity at The Jim Henson Company and segued to talent representation with a move to UTA where he worked for five years, starting in the mailroom and working his up to talent agent. He then made the choice to switch to management and was instrumental in launching Intellectual Artist Management, along with Partners David Guillod and Jeff Morrone. The company subsequently merged with Primary Wave Music and Marg Burg’s Company Evolution to form Primary Wave Entertainment. Primary Wave last year scaled back on Hollywood representation to focus on its core music management business, leading to an exodus of talent managers, including Morrone, who joined Atlas Artists.
