Mike Kelley to Ricky Stenhouse Jr: ‘We believe and we believe today’
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and his Crew Chief Mike Kelley won the 65th Daytona 500 Sunday night for JTG Daugherty Racing.
Kelley guided Stenhouse Jr. to a pair of Xfinity Series titles earlier in his career and in their first race back together, they recaptured that magic to win the Great American Race.

In Victory Lane, Kelley told us he wrote Stenhouse Jr. a note before the race started and it said: “We believe and we believe today.”
That belief from this small 40-person team propelled Stenhouse Jr. to break his 199-race winless streak at Daytona International Speedway. It is the fourth-longest gap between Cup Series wins in history.
