The Jets played their worst game of the season Sunday, losing big in New England.

Nothing went well on the field and injuries took and kept important playmakers off the field. Mike White replaced an injured Zach Wilson during the second quarter and the defense gave up a season-high 54 points, including four rushing touchdowns.

There were a few solid performances by the Jets, but none were enough for New York to sniff the Patriots’ lead throughout the game. Here are the game’s Studs and Duds from Week 7.

Dud: Jets defense

New York’s entire defense played poorly this week. Not only did the unit give up a season-high 54 points, but the Jets also allowed Mac Jones to throw for a career-high 307 yards and two passing touchdowns. Injuries decimated New York – especially in the middle of the field – which allowed New England to establish the run early and score on almost every offensive possession.

The rookie wideout finally scored – but not through the air. Moore ran in a 19-yard touchdown in the third quarter. He only added a 13-yard reception but finished with six targets on the day. The Jets need to get their dynamic rookie more involved.

Dud: Mike LaFleur

The Jets’ first-year play-caller oversaw another low-scoring affair. The Jets finished with fewer than 20 points for the fourth time this season and one touchdown drive was aided by a long pass interference call. LaFleur got a little creative with the reverse for Moore, but otherwise dialed up a boring game for Mike White and Zach Wilson.

Stud: Michael Carter

Carter didn’t score and he fumbled late, but he established himself as the Jets’ top option in the backfield as a runner and receiving back. He made the most of his 20 touchdowns with 104 combined yards – 37 on the ground and 67 through the air on eight receptions.
