- Tonight, it was about as good as it gets for the month of February. Let's just put it on the books. Erin Moran is in for Scott tonight. What a day and what an evening.

ERIN MORAN: Right, I mean, temperatures right now, we're still sitting in the 60s across North Texas, but nothing like where we topped out at today hitting 81 degrees at DFW Airport. Just a reminder, last Tuesday's high temperature was 18. So not only is this the warmest day of the year, our first 80 degree day of 2021, but it's actually the warmest day since November 14. So take that-- arctic outbreak from last week.

Now, we've got temperatures sitting in the 60s. Dallas still actually up to 70 degrees right now. But DFW Airport at 67. Along with Fort Worth, we've got Keller and Bridgeport sitting at 68 degrees of still very mild thanks in part to these gusty south winds.

We were anticipating this. We've got a cold front that's on its move-- on the move getting closer to North Texas as we speak. So south winds ahead of the front. North winds behind the front. Tonight, I think we've got temperatures dipping into the middle and upper 50s. So we've still got about 10 to 15 degrees to go from where we're at right now.

With these breezy south winds, though, we're not going to see those temperatures dip too much. Here we go, 5:00 AM. We've got a little bit of cloud cover building in the farther south and east you are ahead of this cold front.

Front moves through. Temperatures really don't fall off to much, though. We're not going to notice the cool down I think as much until we get into Thursday. So tomorrow afternoon, I think most of us are still dealing with sunny skies. We've got low to mid 60s forecast. But then we get to Thursday and things start to change.

So we've got a high of 63 for tomorrow, breezy northwest winds behind that front, but we are rain free. Allergens get a little bit higher tomorrow. And then on Thursday, we start to see them dip off a little bit thanks in part to the rain that's expected to move in.

So rain doesn't arrive until Thursday afternoon and into Thursday evening, but coverage is pretty widespread. This lingers into Friday morning. We get to Friday afternoon, I think we dry out a little bit. But more rain on the way for Saturday. We got to watch Sunday, as well, for the possibility of a few stronger storms. So we'll keep an eye on that.

Temperatures, as far as they go, we've got low to mid-50s Thursday and Friday. And then Sunday, we've got a high of 70 down to 62 for next Monday.
