Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter have reportedly split up
When Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter were photographed dishing all the PDA on holiday in Italy this summer, we were here for it. Sure, we were devastated at the fact Miley had split with husband Liam Hemsworth, but who's to stand in the way of a #HotGirlSummer, right?
Sadly, it seems a Hot Girl Summer might be all this was ever meant to be, as People reports Miley and Kaitlynn have split up.
"Miley and Kaitlyn broke up," an unnamed source told the magazine. The insider added: "They’re still friends. They’ve been friends forever and were there for each other when they were both getting separated, but they’re just not in a romantic relationship anymore."
It may have been brief, it seems Miley and Kaitlynn had a good time together while dealing with their respective splits. The couple holidayed together in Lake Como, where they were pictured kissing during a sunbathing session. From there, it appeared to go from 0-100, with the women sending Kaitlynn's ex Brody Jenner a joint birthday present (it was a weed bouquet, if you're interested).
A week later, Kaitlynn accompanied Miley to the MTV VMAs, where she performed her new single Slide Away. The couple were later pictured holding hands after the awards.

Most recently, Miley and Kaitlynn seemed to be doing a good job of morphing in to each other, having been photographed wearing matching outfits. The pair appeared to be running errands or heading out on a date in LA recently when they wore matching jeans and black t-shirts. Miley wore boots with hers, while Kaitlynn slipped on some black pointed flats. Planned? A coincidence? Either way, we were into it.
Despite all this, and with reports the couple had even moved in together, it seems all good things must come to an end. For now, maybe Miley and Kaitlynn have parted ways, but who knows what the future will hold...
