If Miley Cyrus’s latest social media posts are telling us anything, it’s that the 27-year-old is ready to start all over—literally. On Tuesday night, the singer posted a throwback video from her 2007 upbeat pop track titled “Start All Over” with the caption, “Meet Miley Cyrus…again.”
Naturally, Miley fans were all over the messaging behind the video, as it’s clear that new music is on its way. Plus, her words are a direct reference to her debut 2007 album Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus, which re-introduced the singer as Miley Cyrus, not her on-screen persona, Hannah Montana.
So it's seeming like Cyrus's new music could be another re-introduction to her new self and new sound.
Cyrus’s most recent music release was back in May 2019, when she came out with the six-song EP She Is Coming and then the single "Slide Away” shortly thereafter, which hinted at the issues between her and then-husband, Liam Hemsworth.

If her Twitter hashtags are any indication, she’s planning to enter into an all-new era with her music now. Spotify is also now showing a disco ball visual behind Cyrus’s current songs, leading fans to believe she’ll be going with a disco glam vibe this time around.

In addition to her nostalgic throwback video post, the “We Can’t Stop” singer also teased a new song on Instagram, which her mom, Trish Cyrus, reposted with the hashtag #MileyIsComing. Sporting cropped blonde hair and bright red lipstick, Cyrus jams along with her new track in pink fluorescent lighting.
The teaser of the song, “Midnight Sky," begins with the lyrics, “It’s been a long time since I felt this good on my own.”

After divorcing from Hemsworth following their brief marriage in January of this year, Cyrus has been open about getting sober and taking control of her mental health, so we can’t wait to see what she brings to her newest slew of songs. As the kind of artist who is constantly evolving, she’s officially out of the fire and into the fire again with this one—and we're definitely here for it.
