Military Ball features grandson of Gen. George S. Patton, celebrates veterans

With a sea of red, white, and blue, the “Salute to Our Veterans Military Ball,” sponsored by the West Tennessee Veterans Coalition, was held at the Doubletree Hotel in Jackson on Nov. 8.

George Patton “Pat” Waters, the grandson of Gen. George S. Patton, delivered an impactful speech as the guest speaker. The ball drew almost 300 attendees with musical guest One Nyte Stand, winners of Tennessee Rock Band of the Year.

The night featured a cocktail hour, a program following the protocol of a traditional Military Ball, plated dinner, drinks, and dancing.

Proceeds benefitted the West Tennessee Veterans Coalition Veterans in Crisis Program.

The WTVC brings together the community to share information, knowledge, support, and resources, and to become a unified voice advocating for local veterans.
