New military themed license plates available in Pennsylvania

New military themed license plates are available throughout Pennsylvania, the Shapiro administration announced on Tuesday.

The plates are available after recently passed legislation allowed PennDOT to offer plates honoring military members and their families.

Two of the new plates, the Air Medal license plate and the Afghanistan and Iraq veterans license plate, recognize veterans’ contributions during their service.

Both plates are available for passenger cars or trucks for a $23 fee and proof of eligibility.
