Millbrook police investigate fatal shooting on Oliver Drive
MILLBROOK — Police in Millbrook are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Thursday.
Police answered a call about noon of shots fired in the 4100 block of Oliver Drive, said Police Chief P.K. Johnson. They found a 26-year-old man with apparent gunshot wounds, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's name was not released pending notification of next of kin, he said.
Jamiah Marquis Burke, 23, of Millbrook, has been charged with murder, Johnson said. He was taken to the Elmore County Jail, where bond had not been set Thursday night.
