Miller shines for RHAM

Jan. 19—Troy Miller put on a show for the RHAM High boys basketball team Wednesday night.

The junior poured in a game-high 34 points as the Raptors topped Stafford 76-53 in non-conference play in Stafford.

The win is the third in a row for RHAM (6-4) following a three-game losing streak.

The Raptors led 18-9 after one and 37-22 at the half.

Four of Miller's 13 makes came from long range. Teammate Matt Fraleigh added 13 points while Roan Trzaskos contributed 10.

Collin Gudeman and Zack Donovan each scored 12 points for Stafford (2-7) while Dylan McLaughlin chipped in 10.

The Bulldogs travel to Ellington Friday while RHAM welcomes Bacon Academy Saturday.

BOLTON 49, LYMAN MEMORIAL 44. In Bolton, Trevor Buchanan scored a game-high 27 points to lead the hosts to a non-league win.

The senior now has 961 points in his career for Bolton (5-6). He added seven rebounds to his scoring.

Lyman Memorial (7-4) led 13-8 after a quarter before Bolton cut the score to 20-19 at the half. The visitors led 32-29 entering the fourth, but Bolton outscored Lyman 20-12 in the final 8:00 to complete the comeback.

Mason Fox and Ryan Orzolek each added six points in the win, with Orzolek also grabbing eight rebounds. Jaiden Lopez led Lyman Memorial with 17 points while Jordan Chandler had 12.

Bolton looks to extend its winning streak to three at Rockville Friday.
