While we’re mere days away from the debut of Stranger Things season 4 Volume One on Netflix, the next (and final) season is already in the works, although its direction is unknown. But Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp have some thoughts.

During an interview with The Wrap on May 19, the actors — who play Eleven and Will Byers, respectively — were asked what they hoped for their characters in the final season. Initially, Millie worried about vocalizing her opinions, as she didn’t want anything to be misconstrued as a “demand” she has for the show’s storylines. Rather, she expressed complete faith in Stranger Things showrunners, Matt and Ross Duffer.

“I trust the Duffer brothers and their creative process and what they see for Eleven because it’s always been amazing and something I’ve always supported,” she said.

Millie turned to Noah and said, “You want Will to die.” Noah immediately denied this but then added, “Oh, I mean I guess at the end.”

“All of us,” Millie continued. “The problem is, is that… we’re all afraid of one of us dying.” Will chimed in that one of them will eventually die, and followed up by saying that “more” should be killed off because the cast is “so big.”

“I know, it’s way too big,” Mille added. “Last night, we couldn’t even take one group picture because there was like 50 of us. I was like, you need to start killing people off.”

“They just need to have one massacre scene where half the cast dies,” Noah said with a laugh.

“That’s what I’m saying,” Millie agreed. “It’s like, this is ridiculous, and also, the Duffer brothers are two sensitive Sallys that don’t want to kill anyone off. We need to be Game of Thrones. We need to have the mindset of Game of Thrones… kill me off! They tried killing David [Harbour, who plays Hopper in the series] off. They brought him back! It’s ridiculous.”

Millie and Noah’s laughs suggest that they might not have been *totally* serious about a massive massacre scene, but who knows. The series has killed off characters such as Barb and Billy, so we’ll just have to wait and see if the Duffer brothers choose that kind of heartbreak for Stranger Things season 5.
