Millie Bobby Brown Told Miley Cyrus She Got Her American Accent from "Hannah Montana"

Monday's edition of Miley Cyrus's Instagram Live talk show Bright Minded featured a brand-new line-up of special guests, including Millie Bobby Brown — who came with a surprise Hannah Montana connection the two celebs share.

In addition to the Stranger Things star, the show's guests on March 30 included young wrestling superstar Zion Clark, Alicia Keys, and Selma Blair. And while every guest on Monday's Bright Minded brought something special to the table, it was Millie's chat with Miley that proved especially memorable.

About halfway through the conversation, Millie shared just how influential Miley has been on her career thanks to Hannah Montana. MBB even credited the Disney Channel series with helping her practice her American accent. "Growing up, I just have to say, the only way I got my American accent was by watching Hannah Montana," Millie recalled. "I watched Hannah Montana and I was obsessed with it. I was actually just going through my camera roll and I saw a video of me in a cowboy hat. I was learning 'Hoedown Throwdown.' Full-on, knew every single dance move. I was obsessed." To which Miley joked that she was surprised MBB didn't take on a country accent.

Millie then took it to the next level, telling Miley that she actually inspired Millie to pursue acting because of Hannah Montana. "Now, thinking back on how obsessed I was, I just knew I wanted your job," Millie Bobby Brown shared. "I didn't know how to get your job, but I was like, 'I want to be like Hannah Montana [but] I don't know how to do it.' Then I realized it was an actual job and I was like, 'Oh, I want to do that! That sounds fun. I didn't even know you could get money for it. I was like, 'I'll do it for free.'"

The conversation Miley and Millie had for around 15 minutes covered lots of other ground, too. Miley kicked off the talk with a story about how she used to get called "Millie" all the time when she was younger, prompting Millie to reveal she has been called "Miley" more than once in recent years. The celebs then went on to introduce their dogs to one another, with Millie opening up about why she got Winnie, her adorable pup, around the same time she turned 16.

"About two years ago, I just started having really bad panic attacks, like, really bad anxiety and I struggled with it really bad," Millie told Miley, continuing, "And, one day I was just talking, and I was like, ‘Maybe I should get a therapy dog,’ you know, something to comfort me when I am really stressed.'" She also addressed how she's navigated her rising fame, admitting it was "terrifying" to feel like she couldn't make a mistake. Now, she credits close friends and family for grounding her even as she becomes more of a public figure.

The episode is just the latest in Miley's ongoing Bright Minded series, which has thus far included guests like Demi Lovato, Hannah Montana costar Emily Osment, and Hailey Bieber — and we can't wait to see who she brings on next. In the meantime, you can catch up on previous episodes of Miley's talk show over on her Instagram account.
