Million dollar homes sold in Fort Mill, Lake Wylie, Tega Cay, Clover, Rock Hill

High-dollar homes and land to build new homes continue to sell in the Rock Hill region.

Dozens of property sales tipped the $1 million mark in September across York, Lancaster and Chester counties. While the massive, eight-figure sales are down compared to recent months and years, the number of individual homes to hit the million-dollar mark continues to rise. September also saw a flurry of land purchases from new home builders.

Here’s a look, according to property records from each county, at the biggest sales last month:

Sunbelt Rentals finalized its purchase of 1799 Innovation Point for $61 million. An almost 11-acre lot in Kingsley Village sold in Fort Mill on Sept. 29. Sunbelt takes over former office space built for Lash Group. The Herald previously reported Sunbelt will take on economic incentive options with the building initially given by York County to Lash.

Forestar USA Real Estate bought 50 acres from Village Drive Properties in Chester County for more than $5.2 million. The site of the Sept. 1 deal is between Lancaster Highway and Village Drive, beside Chester Park.

A total of 30 Lancaster County properties sold Sept. 5 for a combined $3.1 million. The properties are residential and include a variety of structures built from the 1930s to 1980s. AC2 Investments of Charlotte bought the sites. They combine for more almost 2,500 acres.

The sites are largely in or southwest of Lancaster. The largest site is 355 acres on Old Blackmon Lane. Of the 30 properties, 22 of them are 50 or more acres. Nine of them are 100 or more acres.

More than 24 acres of commercial property in Rock Hill sold Sept. 29 for almost $2.5 million. Charlotte-based Waterford Red River bought the vacant 628 Red River Road, suite 101 site in Waterford Park. The property is between Waterford Park and Cedar Line drives, across Waterford Park from Galleria Boulevard.

The O’Reilly Auto Parts site at 971 Bethel St. in Clover sold Sept. 18 for almost $2.3 million. Clover East I of Cramerton, N.C., bought the 7,600-square-foot retail site on more than an acre across from Fred Caldwell Chevrolet.

Laurel Creek Land Bank of Charlotte bought more than 31 acres not far from the airport in Rock Hill Sept. 21 for $2 million. The property is at Laurel Creek Drive and Twin Lakes Road. It’s listed as vacant residential land.

Four acres of commercial property at 926 Spring St. in Rock Hill sold Sept. 13 for $1.7 million. A 2,400-square-foot office building and manufactured homes site near Willowbrook Avenue and Pearl Street now belongs to a company in Pinedale, Wyoming.

Three vacant residential properties in York sold Sept. 27 for more than $1.6 million. They combine for more than 65 acres. KL Servicers of Scottsdale, Arizona, bought the property that formerly belonged to Springlake Associates. The properties are near the Alexander Love and Filbert highways intersection, near a much larger tract — almost 200 acres — that still belongs to Springlake.

May Green Properties in Lake Wylie bought almost 100 acres of vacant residential land Sept. 29 for more than $1.5 million. Two properties are off Brandon Road at its intersection with Oakridge Road, just south of the North Carolina line and Gaston County.

The more than 11,000-square-foot restaurant and event venue space at 1965 Cinema Dr. in Rock Hill sold Sept. 22 for $1.5 million. Rinehart Law Firm in Rock Hill is the listed owner address for the 2.6-acre property built in 2001. It’s in the Manchester Village area between the Regal Manchester theater and I-77.

Five Lost Rabbit Run properties in Fort Mill sold Sept. 21 for almost $1.5 million. The residential lots are beside Waterside at the Catawba and Town of Fort Mill property at Banks Athletic Park.

LGI Homes bought 24 Mordred Street and Duran Terrace properties in Chester County Sept. 7 for $1.4 million. The Knights Bridge lots are east of I-77 and Lancaster Highway in the Richburg area.

Almost 5 acres of vacant commercial property at 3151 Highway 21 in Fort Mill sold Sept. 18 for almost $1.3 million. A company called Highway 21 Storage of Rock Hill bought the site. The property is across the highway from Crown Plaza, just north of Regent Parkway and across from Lakes Boulevard.

More than 67 acres of vacant residential property in York sold Sept. 22 for $1.2 million. A Wadmalaw Island company bought two properties as part of the Cannon Village subdivision. The site is west of Alexander Love Highway, between Congress Street and Hunter Street.

A 9,700-square-foot commercial building at 2115 Ebenezer Road in Rock Hill sold Sept. 20 for $1.2 million. G&R Investment Properties of Columbia bought the office building that previously belonged to Emmanuel Baptist Church. The site is across from Ebenezer Presbyterian Church.

Almost 7 acres of commercial property at 433 McShae Dr. in Rock Hill sold for $1.1 million. Brownstone Hills of Wyoming is listed as the owner of a Sept. 12 sale, but it’s a deed correction for a sale at the same price from June. The area includes a mobile home community.

Residential property at 205 and 215 Trelawn St. in Fort Mill sold for more than $1 million each. The former sold Sept. 19 and the later, on Sept. 15. Both are vacant lots within Enclave at Massey.

Ten homes sold for $1 million or more in September. Fort Mill had three. Lake Wylie, Tega Cay and Clover each had two, and Rock Hill another. Tega Cay had the two most expensive sales, at almost $2.2 million and nearly $1.9 million.
