Million-dollar Mega Millions ticket sold in West Virginia, $2M prizes in Florida, Missouri

No one won the Mega Millions jackpot Friday night, but three tickets still raked in impressive prizes.

One ticket worth $1 million was sold in West Virginia, Mega Millions and the West Virginia Lottery announced. The ticket, which was purchased at a Sheetz in on Martinsburg Pike in Shepherdstown, matched all five numbers except for the Mega Ball.

Meanwhile, two tickets purchased in Missouri and Florida matched all five numbers except for the Mega Ball and added the Megaplier – doubling the prizes to $2 million each, according to Mega Millions.

According to the Missouri Lottery, the winning Missouri ticket was purchased at a Circle K in St. Charles. The Florida Lottery confirmed to USA TODAY Tuesday that the winning Florida ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven in Brandon.

It's unclear if the tickets have been claimed. As of Monday, both the West Virginia Lottery and Missouri Lottery indicated that no one had come forward yet – encouraging the winners to sign the back of their tickets, keep them safe and contact their state's lottery office when they were ready to claim the prize.

The Mega Millions numbers for Friday, Oct. 28 were 4, 18, 31, 53, 69, and the Mega Ball was 7.

To win the Mega Millions jackpot, players must match all six numbers. No one won the $64 million jackpot on Friday – so, ahead of Tuesday's drawing, the jackpot has risen to an estimated $87 million, with a cash option of $42.8 million.

Mega Millions drawings are held two times per week at approximately 11 p.m. ET every Tuesday and Friday. The next drawing is Tuesday.

The single chance of matching all six numbers to win the Mega Millions jackpot is roughly 1 in 303 million.

In addition to Mega Millions, Powerball's jackpot is also on the rise. No one won the top prize Monday night, bringing the Powerball jackpot to a whopping $1.2 billion.
