These Milwaukee area ice cream shops have special deals for National Ice Cream Month

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed July as National Ice Cream Month and the month's third Sunday as National Ice Cream Day.

With record-breaking heat across the country this summer, ice cream can also be a great way to cool off. Luckily, a variety of well-known ice cream shops and online food delivery services have deals and offers on frozen treats in honor of National Ice Cream Month and Day.

Here's the scoop on Milwaukee-area and online deals to celebrate these sweet occasions.

Baskin-Robbins offers $5 off purchases of $20 or more all week long

Baskin-Robbins locations across the country are celebrating National Ice Cream Day all week long.

From Sunday, July 16, through Saturday, July 22, Baskin-Robbins customers receive $5 off of any purchase of $20 or more. This offer can be redeemed by using the code SEIZETHEYAY at checkout for online orders at BaskinRobbins.com or in the Baskin-Robbins app. At Baskin-Robbins stores, customers can redeem the coupon found in the app at checkout. The discount is automatically applied at checkout on orders made through DoorDash and Uber Eats.

There are even more deals later this month. July 31 is Baskin-Robbins' Celebrate 31 event, where customers receive 31% off all scoops. (Waffle cones, toppings, and sundaes are excluded from discount).

Cold Stone Creamery rewards members can get 99-cent deliveries throughout July

From Sunday, July 16, through Thursday, July 20, Cold Stone Creamery locations will offer $4 off purchases of $20 or more to celebrate National Ice Cream Day.

This offer is only valid to My Cold Stone Club Rewards members; you can create an account online or by downloading the Cold Stone app. Members can redeem the offer on orders placed through the app.

Through the rest of July, My Cold Stone Club Rewards members can also take advantage of 99-cent deliveries on orders of $20 or more when they order online or in the app. Also through July 31, any customer who buys $25 in gift cards online will receive a $5 bonus e-gift sent to them via email.

Through Tuesday, July 18, Amazon Prime members receive 35% off, and non-Prime shoppers receive 27% off, on all ice cream and other frozen treats. These include 365 by Whole Foods Market Organic Ice Cream Sandwiches, the new Van Leeuwen Black Cherry Chip French Ice Cream, and KIND Chocolate Cherry Almond & Nut Frozen Treat Bars.
