Milwaukee Brewers Release 2021 Schedule

MILWAUKEE, WI — In a first for the Milwaukee Brewers, the team released the 2020 season schedule and 2021 schedule in the same week.

On Thursday, the team released the full 2021 schedule. It's a full 162-game season, with 81 home games and 81 road games. And they released it before a single game was played in the current season.

The 2021 schedule has a few interesting points. For example, Milwaukee opens the season in April with a three-game home stand against the Minnesota Twins before getting a heavy dose of the Chicago Cubs in April. The Brewers play the Cubbies nine times in the season's opening month, with six coming at Wrigley Field.

The Brewers will seemingly live at home in June, with 17 home games. July features only nine home games, with three against the Reds, two against the Kansas City Royals and three against the White Sox.

Milwaukee's longest home stand comes in September, when the Brewers play 10 consecutive games at home, with three against the Cubs, a four-gamer against the Cardinals and three against the Mets.

2020 Schedule Released Monday

The Milwaukee Brewers Monday announced their revised 60-game schedule for the 2020 MLB regular season.

The team's season was abbreviated this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and will be played over 66 days from July 24 to Sep. 27.

The Brewers will play 10 games against their NL Central Division foes and will play 20 games against American League Central teams.

The Brewers open the season in Chicago on July 24 against the Cubs, and play their first home game on July 31 when the St. Louis Cardinals come to town.

According to the team, the Brewers will begin the season without fans in the stands, but will re-evaluate that policy later in the season if local policies limiting large gatherings during the coronavirus pandemic are changed.
