Milwaukee County Zoo moves some animals inside due to air quality conditions

A De Brazza's monkey was born to mom Holly at the Milwaukee County Zoo on June 10.

Due to Milwaukee’s air quality conditions, select animals were moved indoors Wednesday at the Milwaukee County Zoo.

“Several animals, including the apes, orangutans, siamangs and jaguar will not be outside but viewable in their indoor habitat,” the Milwaukee County Zoo wrote on their Facebook page.

Additionally, programming offered at the zoo, such as Meijer Zoo Expeditions and Kohl's Wild Theater, were closed Wednesday. However, Miller Lite Giraffe Experience remained open.
