Brandi Carlile has had a momentous year — and so have the two newest members of her band, Milwaukee natives Chauntee and Monique Ross.

So how will the Nashville-based violinist and cellist, who first turned heads in the local music scene in the band SistaStrings, cap off a year that included performing a live IMAX concert, witnessing the live return of the legendary Joni Mitchell from the stage, and performing at storied venues around the country — including Fiserv Forum in their hometown?

Well, how about "Saturday Night Live"?

Following TV performances with Carlile this year on the Grammys, "Ellen," "Today," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and elsewhere, Carlile will be the musical guest on "SNL" Dec. 10. Steve Martin and Martin Short will co-host the show.

And the prestigious gigs will continue for the Ross sisters as part of Carlile's band in 2023, including a run of stadium shows opening for Pink.

Unfortunately, they won't be on the bill for Pink's American Family Field performance Aug. 14, but SistaStrings, with Milwaukee native Peter Mulvey, will be opening up for Ani DiFranco at the Pabst Theater Jan. 25.
