Mimosa flights, Sunday brunch: Prosecco stars in drinks at these Taunton area restaurants

Sparkling and effervescent.

No, that’s not just referring to the brief time of summer, before fall comes and most folks settle back into their regular routines.

We’re talking about prosecco, which you can enjoy all year long, but which also has its own day, held in the summer: National Prosecco Day is Aug. 13.

Prosecco, a sparkling white wine produced in the Veneto region of Italy, is actually named after the village of Prosecco in the province of Trieste.

Anything else is just a bubbly pretender.

Whether you want to celebrate on Aug. 13, or make any old day a special occasion, we’ve rounded up a few places providing some prosecco options.

There are cocktails, Sunday brunch specials, and even mimosa flights that’ll have you saying, “Cin cin!”
