Smoke was seen towering above a wildfire that had been burning for the sixth day straight in California’s Fresno County on July 18.
The Mineral Fire broke out on July 13 and had grown to more than 24,000 acres by July 18. The Fresno County Fire Department said the blaze was 35 percent contained.
CAL FIRE reported difficulty containing the fire, as it scorched an area that was hard to reach and said the blaze was exhibiting extreme fire behavior such as rapid uphill and wind-driven runs. Credit: tracyfirefighters via Storyful
