This Mini Game of Thrones Reunion Is Your Temporary Fix for Game of Thrones Withdrawal

There was a mini Game of Thrones reunion on the SAG Awards silver carpet Sunday night that would’ve given any fan the feels (and a temporary solution to symptoms of GOT withdrawal),

The statuesque Gwendolyn Christie, who stunned and towered over everyone in a black Rick Owens dress gave a huge hug to Kristofer Hivju (Tormund) when she spotted him on the carpet before the show began, and Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos), Ben Crompton (Eddison Tollett), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), John Bradley (Sam Tarly), and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), were all on hand too, snapping photos with each other at the show and hanging out together at the People SAG Awards after party and Netflix SAG Awards after-party, too.

Emmanuel rocked a dreamy strapless Miu Miu floral gown that she told us was "very heavy." So much so that she kept pulling it up to prevent a wardrobe malfunction as she walked down the carpet. “Gravity happens and we’re here to have fun, but not that much fun,” the thesp said with a laugh. “We don’t want the girls hanging out.”

“I’m having to pull it up a bit. Someone needs to invent a way to wear strapless where it’s not awkward,” she continued. “I don’t know how that will happen.”

Dress mishaps aside, Emmanuel said the Game of Thrones cast is still close. “They are all part of my life now,” she said, adding that life after the show has been “amazing.”

“Game of Thrones is a huge platform that really brought me so many more opportunities than I could ever have imagined,” she continued. “It’s meant that I could do some other shows, stuff that really challenges me, like Fast and Furious.”

There’s also one huge lesson Emmanuel took away from the show, and it had everything to do with her being the only woman of color on the series.

“When you are just like singularly the only woman of color, you realize that comes with a lot of responsibility, “ Emmanuel said. “I guess I knew there was responsibility, but I didn’t realize that on a show of that scale how much responsibility it was.”
