Miniature Horses Visit San Diego Care Home Residents

A pair of miniature horses brought a smile to some senior care home residents in San Diego, California, as they provided some animal-assisted therapy.

This video shows Peabody and Petunia, two miniature horses who live with owner Faith San Severino in Bonsall, California, paying their visit.

In the clip, the pair of miniature horses can be seen exploring the grounds of the care home and nuzzling up to residents.

Peabody was born deaf and with malformed legs, and San Severino adopted him when he was four days old. San Severino told Storyful the horse was nearly put down, but she built special braces for Peabody, which helped him gain mobility. He’s now “thriving,” she said.
